Women in Publishing: From Community to Collective Impact — Networks, Mentorship & Sponsors

  • Discovery Stage (Hall 5.0), Frankfurt Book Fair 16 Braubachstraße Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, 60311 Germany (map)

Hosted by Frankfurt book fair

Publishing can be a relationship-driven industry — but not everyone has the same access to the rooms where opportunities happen. This session brings international publishing professionals together to explore how networks, mentoring and sponsorship can move from individual support to collective, measurable impact.

Join The FLIP at Frankfurt Book Fair for this insightful panel chaired by Anne Friebel (Founder, Palomaa Publishing), where Cassie will sit alongside Eboni Waitere (Director, HUIA Publishers) and Andrea Pasion-Flores (Publisher, Milflores Publishing) to discuss what a network can do for you (and how to find the right one), what mentoring is great for day to day, and what sponsorship looks like when someone actively backs you and helps opportunities move. We’ll also talk honestly about the tricky bits: politics, reciprocity, visibility — and when support systems can slip into gatekeeping.

1pm-2pm CEST, with informal networking afterwards. Add to your FBF schedule here: https://event.buchmesse.de/sessions/49798
